Kazakh startup Kwaaka raised $600,000 seed round

Kwaaka closed a $600,000 round led by Big Sky Capital with investments from Murat Abdrakhmanov, Madiyar Tuleuov, Olzhas Akbaev and Aman Alimbayev.

Kwaaka provides a cloud-based solution for restaurants to integrate delivery services into restaurant POS systems. Since the beginning of the year, Kwaaka has grown more than 5 times and now works with 1000+ restaurants in 5 countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“We will use the money received to gain a foothold in the Central Asia and Caucasus region, and by the end of the year we plan to launch the first 100 restaurants in the Middle East region. We already have all the necessary integrations and agreements in place to launch in the MENA region.” – Nabi Muratbek, co-founder of the startup.

“Kwaaka is a fast-growing startup with a proven business model that is relevant not only in Kazakhstan, but throughout the world. This is the second time I have invested in this project. I believe in Nabi Muratbek’s team, which is becoming stronger every month.” – Murat Abdrakhmanov

“Big Sky Capital decided to make a follow-on on this investment, since this is not the first time we have seen results. We are glad to support the Kwaaka team” – Adil Nurgozhin, managing partner of Big Sky Capital.
